On the example of paintings from the collection of the Odesa Fine Arts Museum and works by world artists, young participants will see what others have grasped, see the world through the eyes of creators and create their masterpieces.
Excursions to grotto
We will talk about Odesa in the 1920s and the architecture of the former Potocki palace, now building the Odesa Fine Arts Museum. We will visit the grotto and catacombs, which led to the seacoast.
From Kozak Mamaii to Kandinsky
Using the example of works from the Odesa Fine Arts Museum’s exposition, we will teach young guests to distinguish types of art and tell what genres were most popular among artists of different times.
Ivan Aivazovsky at the Odesa Fine Arts Museum
We will talk about the life of Ivan Aivazovsky and how he created paintings. We will talk about the famous mariner’s stay in Odesa and a bit about his acquaintance with Alexander Pushkin. And will try to find where Pushkin hid in Aivazovsky’s paintings..

Art master classes for parents and kids – a unique activity with a highlight to practice: drawing, stained glass, sculpting, and other activities for which the museum provides everything for you.
The restoration of Kuindzhi’s “Clouds”
We will show our young guests how to preserve paintings from destruction. We will learn how to restore paintings using the simple technique; how the great masters learned how to keep paintings that we can see in the museums. We will dive into the restoration process on the example of the copy of “Clouds” by Arkhip Kuindzhi, as the one who helped preserve paintings will always remain in the history.
The artistic technique Pointillism
The participants will know how the colorful points on canvas turn into trees. Landscapes and pointillism technique are inseparable concepts. Just dots you’re your masterpiece will appear on the sheet of paper.
Stained glass windows of gothic cathedrals
Stained glass windows of gothic cathedrals we will tell what this term means— the origins and what the medieval masters wanted to show when filled the space with the multicolor light. We will talk about medieval cathedrals’ features and how cathedrals differ, for example, from castles. And create own gothic stained glass – one of the most mysterious styles.

The maximum size of a children's group for any event - for groups of more than 15 people, several activities are organized simultaneously.

provide a surcharge for admission to the museum (UAH 100 - adult, UAH 50 - children) or materials.
Maximum duration
90 min
Maximum duration of the master class, 60 minutes – guided tours.
